Written over the course of three decades, these arrangements are all, in some way, responses to the first one written, Un Canadien Errant (A Wandering Canadian). This folksong of loss and exile forms the context for all the other arrangements, as each, in its way, deals with the question, “Where is home?” These arrangements mine the arranger’s own background and culture in ways which seek to honour the provenance of each song, seen through the lense ofm his own experience both within and out from that background, as well as the world we live in now.
